How do I launch my website?

Good news! At Jottful, we help you launch your website. There are currently two ways to launch:
- If Jottful purchased your website address (domain) for you:
- Let our team know when you've finished editing your website and it is ready to launch.
- Our team will take care of the technical steps to launch your website.
- If you purchased your domain on your own, or someone purchased it for you:
- Make sure you can log in to your domain registrar (common registrars include: GoDaddy, Google, eNom, 1-1, Network Solutions, Bluehost). You will need to know your username and password with your domain registrar.
- Let our team know you're ready to launch.
- A team member will send you a link that will connect your domain to your new website.
If you use social logins like Google, Facebook, etc., to access your registrar, this option won’t work. Please reach out to our team to schedule a launch meeting.
Step-by-step instructions after receiving the launch link:
- Make sure you confirm the domain you would like to use and you have access to that domain.
- Click "Yes" below the question, "Do you already own 'YOUR DOMAIN' and have access to its registrar?"
- Click on "Configure DNS Records to use Jottful" (see the screenshot example)
- Please click "Continue" in the pop-up window.
- Enter your domain in the "yourdomain.com " box and click continue.
- You will then be prompted to sign in using your domain registrar credentials, (please note: there may be additional steps depending on your domain registrar.)
- Next, you’ll see the "Setting Up Your Domain" screen. (this may take a couple of minutes):
- YAY! Congratulations! 🎉 Your domain has been connected and your website is now launched! 🎉
Important Note: It can take up to 48 hours for a newly launched website to propagate* (spread widely) throughout the entire internet, so be patient. Avoid sharing your website with friends or on social media until 48 hours have passed.
