How does Jottful work with SEO professionals?

If you choose to hire an SEO professional, please: 

1. Give them editing access to your website (Learn how in this article: How do I add more users to my website?). Jottful cannot work with any SEO professionals who haven't been granted editing access to your website.
2. Send them a link to this article so they know how Jottful works with SEO professionals.

On-page & metadata edits

Use Jottful's Magical Editor to change:

• Headlines, text, and images 
  H1 tags are defined through Jottful's platform and cannot be changed.
• Page titles and descriptions (learn how)
• Image alt text (learn how)

Tracking tags 

Contact Jottful Support to send us tracking tags, including: 

• Google Analytics tracking ID
• Google Tag Manager container ID
• HTML to add to the header or body code

Schema

To request a schema.org type for the entire website, simply contact Jottful Support. Jottful does not currently offer a page-level schema selector or custom JSON-LD editor. Jottful generates business JSON-LD on the homepage using one configured business type (Organization by default — let us know if you would prefer a different type). It includes saved business and location details, opening hours, and social or business-profile links through sameAs. In addition: 

• Blog posts also receive Article schema;
• Non-home pages receive BreadcrumbList schema where a valid trail exists;
• Accordion components can use FAQPage, depending on configuration;
• Testimonials components can use Review, depending on configuration.
  

Canonical tags, sitemap and llms.txt

Jottful auto-generates canonical tags, an XML sitemap (Where can I find a sitemap for my website?), and an llms.txt file, describing pages and including page descriptions (which may be edited via Jottful's Magical Editor, learn how).

Robots.txt

Jottful's default robots.txt does not block any crawlers.
