How do I transfer my domain to Jottful?

To transfer your domain to Jottful, follow these steps with your current domain registrar (the service where you registered your domain): 

Already have your transfer authorization (EPP) code? Skip to step 6.

1. Log in to Your Domain Registrar Account
   
   • Access your account with your domain registrar. 

2. Ensure the Domain is Transferable  

   • Most domains are initially set to "clientTransferProhibited" to prevent unauthorized transfers. You’ll need to unlock your domain to remove this restriction.
   • If your domain was registered within the past 60 days, you’ll need to wait before initiating the transfer. The 60-day lock cannot be bypassed.
3. Check for Recent Registrant Changes 

   • If you've recently updated the registrant contact information, this may have triggered a 60-day lock on the transfer. You’ll need to wait until the lock expires to proceed.

4. Disable Privacy Protection
   
   • If you have a WhoIs privacy service enabled, you’ll need to disable it before starting the transfer.

5. Obtain the EPP Code

   • Request the transfer authorization (EPP) code from your domain registrar.

6. Once you’ve completed those steps, you can begin the transfer by logging into your Jottful domain portal 

   • Log into your Jottful Domain Portal (forgot how to log in? (here are instructions if you need help)

     7.  Once you've logged in please click the "Transfer my domain registration to Jottful" button.

Not a domain you are currently using? Please click "Add an alternate website address" torwards the bottom of the page

8. Add your domain and confirm that you’ve registered the domain you entered.

9. Enter your transfer authorization (EPP) code and click the transfer. 

10. You will then be redirected to complete your payment.
