I got a weird email. Is it spam?

How to tell if an email is spam (or a scam)

1. Simply copy and paste a sentence or two from the email into a search engine. For example, we copied this section from a suspicious email we received into Google:  "Your website or a website that your company hosts is infringing on a copyright-protected image owned by myself. Take a look at this document with the links to my images"
   
   
2. Evaluate the results. The first results Google returned were warning about scams: 
   
   

Therefore, you should assume an email like this one is a scam.

What should you do with spam and scam emails? 

Do not reply to them. Delete them. 

Optionally, you could mark them as spam before you deleted it.
