How do I sign up for the free google workspace account for Nonprofits?

2 mins read

Google Workspace for Nonprofits is a program that provides eligible nonprofit organizations with free access to the G Suite tools (now known as Google Workspace), including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to sign up for Google Workspace Nonprofit:

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before you start the sign-up process, ensure that your organization is eligible for the Google Workspace for Nonprofits program. Organizations must be registered nonprofits and hold a valid charity status in their country. Check the eligibility requirements for your country on the Google for Nonprofits website.

Step 2: Apply for Google for Nonprofits

If your organization is eligible, go to the Google for Nonprofits website and click on the Get Started button to apply for the program. Provide the required information and documents, such as your organization’s name, address, registration details, and tax-exempt status. You will find the get started button towards the bottom of the page. Here is the link to the signup page: https://www.google.com/nonprofits/account/signup

Step 3: Verify your Nonprofit Status

Google will need to verify your nonprofit status. This takes about 2-14 business days. You can go to your account page anytime to check the status.

Step 4: Activate Products

Once you receive confirmation that your organization has been verified, you'll be able to activate Google products and start using them. If Jottful is hosting your domain, we will need to add the verification code Google provides you to your domain. Please contact us once you have your verification code.  If Jottful is not hosting your domain, please contact your domain registrar support for assistance.

Step 5: Set up your Google Workspace account

Once you have signed up for the Google Workspace for Nonprofits program, you can set up your account and start using the tools. You can choose which services you want to use, such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more. You can also add users and manage permissions for your organization’s members.
